The Photography Workshop Series presents an Elite Experience on High Fashion Photography in New York on September 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 2024 following NY Fashion Week!  Directed by Celebrity Fashion Advertising Photographer and TV Director& Host Kevin Michael Schmitz. September 17, 2024 – Business Essentials Day #1 is focused on Maximizing your Business as a photographer and art directing a high-end Fashion Editorial.  You will get to photograph a high fashion in studio lighting demonstration on day 1 with a top tier agency represented fashion model.  You will have the opportunity to storyboard aesthetically powerful and emotive photographic images to develop an elite photographic fashion portfolio. You will art direct under the guidance of world famous Celebrity Fashion Editorial Photographer and TV Director & Host Kevin Michael Schmitz.  You will learn proven strategies to maximize profits as a self-employed photographer with your own unique style of work and develop yourself with a strong presence in your niche industry. Our guest panelists will be an Executive Creative Director from an ad agency or Photography Agent Who Represents Top Photographers.  This networking opportunity will give you the opportunity to connect with top decision makers and have your portfolio reviewed by an expert. We will be going into detail about the business of photography, marketing, and negotiating usage rights and creative fees, networking, and self-promotion.  You will have an in-depth lesson on editing, post-production, retouching, color correction and consultation from a world-class retoucher.  Most importantly, we will help you strategize, design and implement your marketing campaign to reach key clients in commercial and consumer photography to take your business to the highest level!

September 18, 2024 – Photoshoot Day #2 will include You Commanding a Set and Photographing for 6 Solid Hours with a Completely Hands-On Shooting Experience.  You will shoot a High-End Fashion Studio LookBook Editorial with World Class SuperModels from the Top Agencies in New York. This experience will double the size of your portfolio by adding the extra photoshoot day.   You will have access to $100,000 of high-end location & studio lighting & photographic equipment that will give you the opportunity to shoot a fashion story at the highest level.  Learning all aspects of light modification, ProFoto Equipment and Manipulation of Natural Light with Giant Scrims and Bounces, you will create cinematic fashion story that will take your portfolio to the highest level.  You will work with a top Celebrity Fashion Styling Team and world-class Makeup and Hair Stylist with a team of assistants to maximize the look, feel and style of your editorial. This will be the opportunity of a lifetime as you create some of the greatest images of your career and command a set that is equivalent to a $50,000 per day production.
